Berries 'n' Cream Trail Mix

Okay, okay. I'm not hitting the trails anytime soon. But I do like having nuts stashed away in the pantry for healthy snacking. In fact, this batch is getting packed up in my hospital bag for quick labor & delivery protein. I also fancy a good nut mix piled into a bowl and conveniently placed on the counter for the weekend house guest. Some friends and family might feel a bit awkward asking for a munchie while staying with you. So I always like to have a few treats, like nuts and granola bars, perpetually in arm's reach so guests can help themselves at any time day or night!

When pulling together a snack mix, my OCD tends to kick in, and I simply must have some kind of theme for the bowl. Being that it's summertime, I thought a mix of dried berries might be nice. And since any good trail mix must include chocolate, Berries 'n' Cream (aka white chocolate) seemed on theme to me! Of course, trail mix is oober versatile. You can swap any of the nuts or dried fruits below for another favorite of yours. Your theme could be "I like this, so it's going in the bowl!"

Berries ‘n’ Cream Trail Mix

· 1lb lightly salted cashews

· 1lb lightly salted almond

· 1lb lightly salted walnuts

· 1 cup dried blueberries

· 1 cup dried cranberries

· 1 cup dried cherries

· 1 cup freeze dried strawberries

· 1 cup white chocolate or yogurt chips
